Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to ensure a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, manage cash transactions, stock and rotate merchandise, and maintain displays. You may lead in the absence of the Store Manager and perform other duties to maximize sales and protect assets.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, coaching team members, and upholding safety policies while delivering excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a cash register and process transactions accurately.
• Understanding of planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and handle cash responsibly.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and assist customers.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Receive, stock and rotate merchandise; build displays; maintain cleanliness.
• Follow procedures for stocking, merchandising, and store operations.
• Open/close the store under direction of Store Manager; support in absence of managers.
