Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to keep a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock shelves, and support the Store Manager in daily operations.

You will lead by example, greet customers, help with planograms, and ensure pricing and displays are accurate. This role requires basic math, safe cash handling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with some supervisory exposure preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and safety knowledge for store operations.
• Ability to read planograms and follow merchandise presentation guides.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payments.
• Stock merchandise, restore shelves, and build displays; follow planograms.
• Clean the store; handle housekeeping tasks and safety practices.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in the Store Manager's absence as needed.
