Job summary

Dollar General in Castleberry, AL is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, customer-first store, assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate the cash register, stock and recover merchandise, and support the Store Manager. You will lead by example in daily operations, help implement planograms, open/close routines, and take on duties in the absence of managers.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

• Knowledge of cash handling policies and deposit control.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases; collect payment and give change.
• Stock merchandise; rotate displays and maintain planograms.
• Clean the store; take out trash; mop floors; stockroom and restock as needed.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager; assist in other manager duties when needed.
