Job summary

Assistant Store Manager role at CNG Holdings, Inc. focuses on delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring regulatory compliance across our Wisconsin store network.

You will educate customers on the product portfolio, assist with loans, check cashing, and Net Spend, and manage a cash drawer with accuracy and daily reconciliation. You will escalate issues as needed to leadership, handle inquiries, and perform compliant transactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of experience with sales, customer service, and/or cash handling.
• Strong customer service, active listening, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in an autonomous environment.
• Must have own personal reliable transportation, valid driver’s license & insurance.

Responsibilities

• Serve and educate customers on the product portfolio with options meeting needs.
• Escalate issues to store manager, DDO, or corporate office when unresolved.
• Answer telephone inquiries and process customer applications or requests.
• Perform outbound sales, courtesy, and collection calls per regulations and procedures.
• Explain solutions professionally and ensure customers feel supported and valued.
• Interact with customers using active listening to clarify information.
• Handle currency, cash, and coins; manage cash drawer and deposits as needed.
• Balance batch receipts with sales reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform customer verifications and process transactions per policy.
• Comply with federal/state regulations and company policies; complete trainings.
