Job summary

Goodwill-Industries-of-Arkansa seeks an Assistant Manager to support daily store operations, open/close duties, and drive ACE customer service. You will manage cash handling, pricing, merchandise display, and donor interactions while supervising staff in the manager's absence.

Responsibilities include training, payroll processing support, attendance tracking, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Flexibility for holidays, nights, and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to four years of high school or GED with 12–18 months related experience.
• Valid driver''s license with clear MVR.
• Must read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with opening and closing the store and daily bank deposits.
• Ensure ACE customer service to donors and customers.
• Monitor pricing, display, and rotation of merchandise.
• Maintain interior and exterior store appearance and proper merchandise rotation.
• Balance cash register and prepare daily bank deposits; maintain transaction records.
• Supervise staff and volunteers as needed; assist with orientations for new hires.
• Observe safety policies and enforce them among staff and volunteers.
• Represent the store positively and communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
