Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Store HR Representative to provide HR support to store leadership, coaching on HR matters, and guidance on staffing and retention. You’ll partner with store leaders and the regional HR team to drive HR goals and programs.

You will assist with staffing, onboarding, and training, and help implement engagement initiatives, total rewards programs, and compliance with HR policies across the store environment.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalency required. Associate Degree or above in Human Resources preferred.
• Ability to present thought leadership, demonstrate leadership presence, and be approachable.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Strong planning, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written and ability to facilitate meetings.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist staffing, interview and selection processes for store roles and manage applications.
• Oversee orientation, onboarding and training to drive engagement and retention.
• Champion engagement through HR initiatives and ensure effective store communication.
• Support talent management, development, acquisition and total rewards processes.
• Provide guidance on career development resources and track individual development plans.
• Consult with leadership on employee relations, policy matters and EEO issues.
• Assist with investigations and resolution of employee complaints or policy violations.
• Partner with HR on policies regarding compensation, payroll, benefits and disability management.
