Qualifications

• 2–3 years of progressive retail management experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail or equivalent industry.
• Experience supervising 15+ staff.
• P&L ownership experience.
• Proficiency in setting and managing store staff schedules.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
• Strong math and computer skills.
• Broad knowledge of thrift and resale industry.
• High integrity, respect for all individuals and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform the same functions as direct reports.
• Ability to complete paperwork and reports timely.
• Ability to exercise good judgment in day-to-day situations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Manage production levels and merchandise quality to optimize revenue.
• Control inventory levels across all merchandise lines.
• Ensure smooth flow of donations with adherence to standards, safety and laws.
• Maintain staffing levels and payroll within budget; hire and train staff.
• Supervise volunteers and temporary labor as needed.
• Complete reporting requirements on a timely basis.
• Review profit and loss statements and adjust operations accordingly.
• Meet daily banking requirements and manage schedules.
• Maintain effective communication with divisions and other stores.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve complaints.
