Job summary

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to support daily operations in Closeout Goods. You will lead production tasks, coach staff, and ensure safety and efficiency while reporting to the Production Manager.

The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, and HRIS/payroll familiarity, with flexibility for shifts, weekends, and holidays. This is a regular full-time position in Cincinnati, OH.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Five years of Retail or equivalent experience preferred.
• Two years of progressive retail leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience training, coaching, and developing associates.
• Proficiency in scheduling, payroll, and workforce management systems.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math and computer proficiency.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including openings, closings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations in collaboration with the Production Manager.
• Perform administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and generating reports.
• Ensure efficient production and pricing while maintaining safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Supervise, coach, train, and support team members.
• Assist with onboarding and ongoing training for consistent execution of standards.
• Provide feedback and coordinate with leadership and HR on performance management.
