Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and written/spoken communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices in a store environment.
• Ability to read plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Willingness to comply with SOPs, handbooks, and company communications.
• Willingness to obtain required local food handling certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Grocery Food Department and act as Manager on Duty as needed.
• Authorize refunds and overrides and ensure deposits are made.
• Maintain cash accountability, key control, and security practices.
• Supervise store operations in absence of Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Train and develop associates in stocking, presentation, and safe food handling.
• Ensure accurate shelving, pricing, promotions, and signage.
• Manage perishables rotation and inventory controls to reduce markdowns.
• Coordinate with receiving and staging for new merchandise.
