Dollar General is seeking a Food Department Manager on duty in California. Under supervision, you will manage the Grocery Food Department and the total store when designated as the Manager on duty, ensuring inventory accuracy, merchandising presentation, and high-quality customer service.

You will also lead staff training, enforce food handling rules, and support the Store Manager with scheduling and operations to maintain a safe, profitable store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to three years of retail clerk experience.
• Previous lead experience and/or grocery store experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsabilités

• Manage the Grocery Food Department and store in the absence of Store/ASD.
• Authorize refunds, overrides, and deposits; maintain cash handling discipline.
• Train employees and provide guidance to team members.
• Assure proper stocking, rotation, presentation, and safe handling of food items.
• Oversee pricing, signage, and merchandising per company standards.
• Ensure inventory control and minimize shrinkage; safeguard assets.
