Job summary

Brobston Group is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician I to help keep our store environments safe and well-kept in Bethesda, MD. Under close supervision, you will support building systems across multiple stores and Nordstrom Rack locations.

The role focuses on preventive maintenance and on-demand repairs, with emphasis on learning trade skills, operating basic tools, and documenting maintenance activities. A flexible schedule is required to cover days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience or training.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to preventive maintenance.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions, lift 50 pounds, and use basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, daily inspections, building rounds, and assigned work requests.
• Assist with troubleshooting and basic repairs to plumbing, HVAC, lighting, roofs, drains, kitchen equipment, and other building systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and respond promptly to customer and emergency requests, escalating issues as needed.
• Follow safety practices and applicable codes, regulations, and company directives.
