Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Retail Manager to supervise one or more Sales Departments, oversee merchandising, inventory control, pricing, and customer service activities. The role includes staff selection, development, and ensuring strong customer experiences.

Responsibilities include meeting financial plans, executing sales plans, opening/closing the store, and providing leadership to a team. Experience in retail management and proficiency with POS and inventory systems are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in Retail Management.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and commissions.
• Ability to read and analyze reports and write business correspondence.
• Ability to interview, hire, train and evaluate staff.
• Ability to present information to managers, associates, customers and the public.

Responsibilities

• Supervise one or more Sales Departments including merchandising presentation and inventory control.
• Ensure world class customer service and a pleasant shopping experience.
• Meet or exceed financial plans and execute sales plans.
• Open and close the store; obtain Manager on Duty responsibilities.
• Staff interview, selection, training and performance appraisals; prepare schedules.
• Provide a legendary customer experience by assisting buying decisions and product recommendations.
