Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Shelby Township, MI is hiring a part-time Store Environment Team Member to maintain the store's appearance and cleanliness while delivering our Brand Promises. You will assist customers, handle basic checkout tasks, and participate in BOPIS/SFS operations.

Qualifications

• Retail/cleaning experience preferred, enabling cleanliness and customer assistance.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy boxes as part of routine tasks.
• Must be at least 16 years old and able to work nights, weekends, or early mornings as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standard of store look and cleanliness; follow recovery procedures.
• Provide fast, friendly customer service and assist shoppers in finding items.
• Assist with checkout and cash handling to standards; promote Rewards/Private Label Credit Cards enrollments.
• Support omni-channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes; support safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies to ensure compliance.
