Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Store Director to lead a retail team and drive the best possible shopping experience. You will oversee store operations, sales, and financial performance while upholding our leadership expectations and core values.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience, 5 years in retail, 3 years in leadership with direct reports, and proven ability to analyze financial data and mentor future leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of retail/service industry experience.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience including management of leaders with direct reports.
• Experience leading retail or service operation with $40 million minimum in annual sales revenue.
• Ability to receive and maintain licenses required for the store’s operations.

Responsibilities

• Maximize sales and maintain fiscal responsibility.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout store operations.
• Mentor and coach all team members and leaders to ensure goals are met and exceeded.
• Ensure the store is properly staffed with well-trained team members and develop them further.
• Maintain corporate, safety, and regulatory procedures for a safe, stable environment.
• Cultivate relationships in the local community to support the Meijer brand.
