Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Store Director to lead a store’s daily operations, drive sales, and ensure superior customer service. You will manage a large team, develop future leaders, and uphold safety and merchandising standards while aligning with Meijer's leadership expectations and community-focused values.

The role requires strong retail leadership, financial oversight, and a proven ability to build high-performing teams to achieve goals and deliver an outstanding shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent retail experience required.
• 5+ years of retail/service industry experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience including management of leaders with direct reports.
• 3+ years of retail leadership experience with General Merchandise and Grocery/Fresh experience preferred.
• Experience leading operations with at least $40M annual sales revenue.
• Position may require lifting, carrying, and other physical acts.

Responsibilities

• Oversees total store operation and customer experience.
• Maximizes sales while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
• Mentors and coaches team members and leaders to meet goals.
• Ensures proper staffing and professional development of staff.
