Job summary

ShopRite of Northvale in Northvale, NJ is seeking a Store Detective to protect assets and provide a safe shopping environment. You will detect theft, monitor with CCTV, and earn $18.00-$20.00 per hour as part of a part-time, non-union role.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting store operations, and coordinating with Loss Prevention to minimize loss while maintaining exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Able to stand/walk for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Willingness to travel to store locations if needed.
• Customer-focused with strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Utilize loss prevention tools to identify and minimize shrink.
• Detect and apprehend individuals for theft following policy and law.
• Represent the company in criminal actions related to apprehensions.
• Assist in investigations and report vulnerabilities to management.
• Maintain security of entrances and communicate with staff.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Follow cash handling procedures and support store operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
