We are more than just a parts store, and we are looking for talented individuals to join our NAPA family! As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you'll be the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person for customers entering our stores for their automotive needs. You don't need to be able to tear down engines (though that's a bonus), but a background in automotive parts is essential.

This role offers a great opportunity whether you're aiming for a long-term career as a Parts Specialist, seeking full/part-time work, or just want to get your foot in the door to explore other career paths with us. We welcome all interested candidates!

What You Will Be Doing
  • Providing auto parts answers and solutions to retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone
  • Using your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members in answering customer questions
  • Delivering outstanding customer care and interactions
  • Bringing customer focus and high energy to our fast-paced stores
  • Welcoming customers and engaging with them to ensure a positive shopping experience
  • Using technology such as computers, cash registers, telephones, and paper catalogs

  • Have gained experience working in the automotive industry or through personal vehicle repair projects

What You’ll Need
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn
  • High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school education is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Strong listening skills and empathy for customers
Additional Qualifications (Preferred but not required)
  • Passion or background in automotive, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership work
  • Experience with cataloging and inventory management systems
  • Customer-centric mindset
  • ASE Certifications
