Job summary

ALDI is seeking a Construction Project Manager in Frederick, MD to lead new store builds and remodels across the region. You will guide projects from permitting to turnover, shaping capital budgets, and coordinating with contractors and authorities to deliver high‑quality stores on time and on budget.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement (remote up to 3 days/week) and a starting salary of $147,500 with future increases. Strong leadership and a proactive approach are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Architecture, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering or related retail operations.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all store construction projects, ensuring code compliance, permits, and ALDI specifications within time and budget.
• Manage landlord/developer work coordination and verification of scope.
• Expedite permits, reviews, and approvals; secure bonds in advance of construction.
• Bid process oversight, bid documents, pre-bid meetings, and bid awards with contractor recommendations.
• Provide field changes and technical advice on design, permitting, and construction matters.
• Coordinate with National Services, consultants, vendors, and authorities to achieve project goals.
• Develop itemized capital expenditures budget and detailed project schedule; support turnover to Operations.
