Job summary

ALDI is hiring a Construction Project Manager to lead new store builds and remodels across the designated geographic area, directing projects from permitting and bidding through on-site supervision and turnover to Operations.

You will shape capital budgets and schedules, recruit and develop top contractors, review change orders and payments, and partner with developers and authorities to deliver high-quality stores on time and within budget. This role supports ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Architecture, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering or related retail operations.
• Combination of education and experience may provide equivalent knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all store construction projects, ensuring compliance with codes, plans and ALDI specifications within time and budget.
• Expedites permits, third-party reviews, and approvals for construction including utility connections.
• Recruits and develops contractors to bid on future work and improve engagement and efficiency.
• Reviews and approves construction payments and change orders for accurate billing; ensures lien waivers are obtained.
• Maintains relationships with National Services, consultants, vendors, contractors and authorities to achieve project objectives.
