Job summary

Michaels in Washington, MO is seeking a team member to maintain store cleanliness, assist customers, and support daily store operations. You will help with cleaning, stocking, and basic customer service while following safety and SOP guidelines.

Responsibilities include checkout assistance, rewards program enrollments, and omni-channel tasks like BOPIS and SFS. The role requires standing for long periods and at least sixteen years old, with benefits discussed with HR.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
• Able to stand for long periods and move around the store.
• Must be at least sixteen years old.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and products for cleaning and place back in correct locations.
• Clean assigned areas with approved materials and equipment; mix solutions as required.
• Deep clean key areas (bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways) to keep a clean, safe store.
• Keep cleaning equipment neat; notify supervisor of supply needs.
• Seek out areas needing cleaning and complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in line with federal, state and county guidelines.
• Maintain positive interactions with team members and customers; model company values.
• Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other team members.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards; enroll them.
• Assist with Omni channel processes (BOPIS, Ship from Store).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies and standards.
