Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking an enthusiastic Store Assistant Manager for the Foothill Ranch Store. You will work with the Store Manager to run daily operations, manage donations, and uphold ARC merchandising standards to maximize revenue and impact for the Adult Rehabilitation Program.

You will lead, coach, and schedule staff, ensure payroll accuracy, and drive customer and donor satisfaction while maintaining community relations and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years previous Retail Management/Supervisory experience (thrift preferred).
• Basic understanding of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must hold a valid Driver's license and pass MVR/background checks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in day-to-day store operations including opening/closing, POS, inventory, and donations.
• Supervise staff in the absence of the Store Manager, including scheduling and payroll records.
• Monitor KPIs to drive sales and profitability in line with budgets and goals.
• Maintain payroll accuracy and ensure appropriate coverage for shifts.
• Develop and coach store employees to improve processes and performance.
• Ensure safety, security, and compliance with ARC policies and regulations.
• Maintain customer and donor satisfaction through excellent service and community relations.
