Job summary

Steve Madden Store is seeking a Store Assistant Manager (full-time) in Woodstock, GA to support the Store Manager in all store operations and coach a team of brand advocates to deliver an exceptional customer experience aligned with the company’s brand values.

Responsibilities include driving profitability through customer engagement, merchandising, training, inventory control, and loss prevention, while ensuring adherence to company standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail experience
• Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate resources
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Knowledge of retail operations including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory, and loss prevention
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Experience developing staff through coaching and training
• Ability to process information through the POS system and computer

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager to maximize profitability and ensure compliance with standards
• Create exceptional customer experiences through client focus and collaboration
• Implement visual merchandising directives to support brand strategies
• Ensure replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor
• Assist in loss prevention, safety policies, and store procedures
• Support training, operations, inventory management, store administration, and cleaning as needed
• Foster development and accountability among staff
• Process merchandise through the POS system
• Support in hiring qualified candidates and staffing decisions
• Be flexible and perform duties outside the role when required
