Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of New York LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Schenectady location. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and contribute to merchandising, inventory, and loss prevention efforts.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, with prior store management experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
