Family Dollar Stores Of New York LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandise flow, opening/closing procedures, and adherence to company policies while maintaining a positive, safe environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and hands-on leadership to ensure excellent customer experiences and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Maintain store areas to company standards and protect assets
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling and loss prevention
• Train and develop Store Associates and ensure a safe, respectful environment
