Job summary

Ross Stores in Griffin, GA is seeking an Area Supervisor to support store leadership and oversee a defined area of the store, including opening/closing, supervising Associates, and maintaining a friendly, well merchandised shopping environment.

You will ensure safety, loss prevention, customer service, front end operations, and merchandising standards while coaching staff and executing company procedures.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safety as the top priority and practices safe behaviors on the floor.
• Trains and coaches Associates on cash registers and shortage control policies.
• Ensures front end processes are executed to Company standards and drives checkout efficiency.
• Oversees merchandising, back stock, signage, and daily housekeeping to Company standards.
• Performs administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager, including payroll and scheduling.
• Assists with loss prevention and ensures security practices are followed.
