Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to join Store Leadership in Macon, GA. The role oversees a specific area of the store and the general operations when acting as Manager on Duty, ensuring safe, friendly and well-merchandised shopping environments.

You will supervise Associates, maintain store presentation, handle opening/closing, and ensure compliance with company processes and loss prevention policies. Experience in supervision and customer service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe and secure environments on the sales floor and in back areas.
• Trains and coaches Associates on front-end procedures and customer service standards.
• Oversees merchandising, stockroom organization and housekeeping to company standards.
• Manages frontline operations including cash handling and POS accuracy.
• Supports store leadership in opening and closing procedures and daily tasks.
