Ross Stores, Inc. in Jonesboro, GA is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined section of the store and oversee daily operations when on duty.

You will open and close the store, supervise Associates, and ensure a welcoming, well-merchandised environment that aligns with company standards. You will supervise front-end activities, manage staffing, train cashiers on POS equipment, monitor safety, investigate losses, and partner with Store Leadership to execute merchandising and loss prevention

Qualifications

Excellent verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English.
Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Open and close the store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
Ensure proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
Maintain loss prevention awareness and safeguard confidential information.
Provide front-end supervision to expedite customer wait times.
Train and coach Associates on cash registers and front-end procedures.
Ensure all safety procedures and store policies are followed.
