Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking an Assistant General Manager for the Travel Store/Convenience Store. You will assist the General Manager with operations and marketing functions, staffing, training and development, general supervision of staff, and efforts to improve profitability.

This role requires leading by example, recruiting and retaining high-quality team members, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring safety standards while delivering fast, friendly service to travelers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory experience in convenience store, truck service or travel center preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and POS software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the team to meet performance standards and deliver fast, friendly service.
• Recruit, hire, train and retain high-quality staff and develop a culture of recognition.
