Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Customer Systems Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience with enterprise storage products and AI-enabled tooling. You will work cross-functionally to investigate issues, analyze failures, and support product qualification and deployment.

The role emphasizes learning storage technologies, debugging, and using AI tools and large language models to improve engineering workflows while developing customer-facing and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong understanding of computer systems and storage technology, including processors, memory, operating systems, drivers, firmware, and hardware/software interactions.
• Experience programming in C and Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-enhanced tools and solutions that improve engineering efficiency and streamline Customer Systems Engineering workflows.
• Partner with customers, customer-facing teams, and internal engineering organizations to support product qualification and deployment activities.
• Assist with firmware release processes, firmware management, and customer qualification efforts.
• Support failure analysis activities for returned products during high-volume manufacturing and customer deployments.
• Investigate customer-reported issues and collaborate with engineering teams to drive technical problems to resolution.
• Analyze system-level behavior and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Create and present technical findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders.
• Leverage modern AI tools and large language models to improve productivity and innovation within engineering processes.
