Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an Electrical/Computer Science student for a Customer Systems Engineering Intern position in Colorado. You will develop AI-enabled tools, support product qualification, assist firmware management, and help analyze failures across high-volume manufacturing.

You will work with cross-functional teams to investigate issues, learn storage technologies, and present findings to stakeholders while advancing engineering workflows with modern AI tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of computer systems and storage technology, including processors, memory, OS, drivers, firmware, and hardware/software interactions.
• Experience programming in C and Python.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.
• Experience using AI tools and large language models such as Copilot, Claude, Gemini, or similar technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-enhanced tools and solutions that improve engineering efficiency and streamline Customer Systems Engineering workflows.
• Partner with customers, customer-facing teams, and internal engineering organizations to support product qualification and deployment activities.
• Assist with firmware release processes, firmware management, and customer qualification efforts.
• Support failure analysis activities for returned products during high-volume manufacturing and customer deployments.
• Investigate customer-reported issues and collaborate with engineering teams to drive technical problems to resolution.
• Analyze system-level behavior and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Create and present technical findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders.
• Leverage modern AI tools and large language models to improve productivity and innovation within engineering processes.
