Job summary

U-Haul is hiring for a Storage Customer Service Representative in Mansfield, OH. You will engage customers inside the showroom and around the property, help with truck/trailer rentals, storage, and moving supplies, and ensure equipment is clean and ready for use.

No prior experience is required; on‑the‑job training is provided. The position involves physical activity and outdoor work in varying conditions, with opportunities for advancement and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Friendly, dependable and comfortable working directly with customers.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in a hands-on retail environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team and stay productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, hands-on customer service throughout the entire U-Haul location.
• Assist customers with truck and trailer rentals, self-storage, moving supplies, propane and other U-Haul products and services.
• Dispatch and return rental equipment using U-Haul technology and mobile devices.
• Inspect, clean and prepare trucks, trailers and other rental equipment for customers.
• Assist self-storage customers with unit rentals, payments, questions and showing available storage units.
• Help maintain a clean, organized and welcoming showroom, storage facility and property.
• Stock and organize boxes, moving supplies and other retail merchandise.
• Perform routine property upkeep, cleaning and minor maintenance as needed.
• Answer phone calls and assist current and prospective customers with questions and reservations.
• Work as part of the store team and assist with other day-to-day operations as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and development through U-Haul University.
