Job summary

Self Storage Plus is seeking a General Manager in Sterling, VA to oversee day-to-day property operations, leasing, and maintenance for multiple locations. This role includes managing staff, driving occupancy, and maintaining safety and customer service standards.

Responsibilities cover marketing, rent collection, financial reporting, and strict adherence to cleaning and safety protocols. A strong candidate will have managerial experience and solid MS Office skills, with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all elements of property operations including leasing, marketing, customer relations, rent collection, maintenance, and financial reporting
• Maintaining the property through regular maintenance checks, conducting daily property walks to ensure that safety and security requirements are met, making minor repairs as needed
• Upholding cleanliness standards throughout the property, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, emptying trash, cleaning out storage units, and other cleaning responsibilities as needed
• Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
• Oversee the monthly auction process
• Providing task management oversight of Assistant Store Managers by providing guidance, working to create a safe and productive work environment, and assisting in the hiring process as needed
• Implement policies and procedures to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure a positive tenant experience
