Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. in New York is seeking a Stockroom Associate for West Elm to support store operations and customer service. You will help plan for shipments, move merchandise from stockroom to the sales floor, stock shelves, and ensure inventory accuracy. You may supervise stock associates and assist on the sales floor as needed.

The role emphasizes customer service, organization, and adherence to company policies. A flexible schedule and full-time availability are expected.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years stockroom experience.
• 1-2 years customer service experience.
• Basic product knowledge preferred.
• Effective planning and time management to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.
• Assist management in planning for receipt of shipments and staffing needs.
• Process shipments and maintain inventory records.
• Direct merchandise flow from stock room to sales floor.
• Stock and ticket merchandise in stock room or prepare for distribution to the sales floor.
• Organize stockroom departments and ensure aisles are clear and merchandise is stored per company standards.
• Process inventory paperwork including transfers, logs, discrepancies, returns, and damaged merchandise.
• Maintain accurate records of merchandise stored at off-site locations.
• Process donations and MOS merchandise; pack and log merchandise for shipments.
• Keep stockroom clean and organized; complete daily tasks and maintenance.
• May supervise and train stock associates and assist on the sales floor as needed.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
