Job summary

Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development District 61/Unit 001 in Baton Rouge is seeking a Stockroom Clerk to receive, inspect, label, and store stock and equipment. You will maintain inventory records, fulfill requests, and distribute materials, reporting to the Administrative Program Manager 2.

The role requires a Louisiana Class “E” Driver’s License, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday schedule. Compensation is $12.03 hourly ($962.40 biweekly).

Qualifications

• One year of experience in administrative services.
• Experience substitution: Every 15 semester hours substitutes for six months of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, verify, label, and properly store incoming stock, supplies, materials, and equipment; resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct periodic physical counts, and ensure stock is organized and adequately supplied.
• Process and fulfill stock and equipment requests received in person, by phone, email, or fax, and maintain distribution and usage logs.
• Deliver and distribute supplies, equipment, mail, and other materials using appropriate delivery methods and services.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance on material-handling equipment; maintain a clean and safe work area and assist with training, office duties, and emergency support as required.
