Job summary

Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) in Baton Rouge seeks a Stockroom Clerk for District 61/Unit 001. You will receive, inspect, and store stock, maintain inventory, and process requests, ensuring accuracy and safety in a busy district.

Ideal candidates will have at least one year in administrative services, a valid LA driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. The role offers a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Monday–Friday work schedule and pays hourly wages with DOTD

Qualifications

• One year of experience in administrative services.
• Must possess a valid Louisiana Class “E” Driver’s License at time of appointment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, verify, label, and store incoming stock and equipment; resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory records, conduct periodic counts, and organize stock.
• Process stock requests and maintain distribution logs.
• Deliver supplies and equipment using appropriate services.
• Operate and maintain material-handling equipment; keep a safe work area.
