Job summary

State of Louisiana is seeking a Stockroom Clerk in District 61/Unit 001, Baton Rouge, LA. Responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, labeling, and storing stock, maintaining inventory records, and fulfilling stock requests for DOTD operations.

The role requires a valid Louisiana Class E driver’s license, ability to lift 50 pounds, and reports to the Administrative Program Manager 2. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with a pay rate of $12.03 hourly.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in administrative services.
• Experience substitutions: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.
• Valid Louisiana Class “E” Driver’s License at time of appointment; ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, verify, label, and store incoming stock, supplies, materials, and equipment; resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct periodic physical counts, and ensure stock is organized and adequately supplied.
• Process and fulfill stock and equipment requests received in person, by phone, email, or fax, and maintain distribution and usage logs.
• Deliver and distribute supplies, equipment, mail, and other materials using appropriate delivery methods and services.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance on material-handling equipment; keep a clean, safe work area.
