About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and organized Stock Controller to manage inventory effectively for their retail operations in Welkom. This role is fundamental to ensuring the accuracy of stock levels, minimizing discrepancies, and optimizing inventory management processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, checking, and recording incoming stock, as well as managing outgoing inventory and conducting regular stocktakes. Accuracy, attention to detail, and a systematic approach are paramount for this position. This is a key operational role that supports the smooth running of the store and impacts profitability by ensuring optimal stock availability and reducing losses. Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming inventory.
• Verify delivery notes against actual stock received, noting any discrepancies or damages.
• Organize and maintain stockroom inventory in a systematic and accessible manner.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Manage stock movements, including transfers between departments or stores.
• Maintain accurate records of all stock transactions using the inventory management system.
• Implement and enforce stock control procedures to minimize shrinkage and obsolescence.
• Prepare regular stock reports for management, highlighting key inventory metrics.
