Job summary

Alternate Solutions Health Network in Kettering, OH is seeking a Home Health Aide I (HHA I) to support patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Supervising Therapist. The role provides compassionate assistance with activities of daily living and basic personal care in a safe home environment.

The position follows a 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM schedule, Monday through Friday. Applicants should have 1 year of nurse aide experience, STNA/CNA training, and a valid driver’s license with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and STNA/CNA training.
• At least one year of nurse aide experience under RN supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance in your name.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians and staff.
• Calm, patient, and compassionate demeanor; team player.
• Completion of skills competency test with 80%+.

Responsibilities

• Performs personal care including bathing, grooming, skin care, toileting, and oral hygiene.
• Cleans up supplies and service area after personal care.
• Assists patients with lifting and transferring as needed.
• Performs simple exercises as an extension of therapy services (ambulation, ROM).
• Maintains relationships with patient, family, and staff.
• Reports changes to patient’s medical and living conditions to supervisor/case manager.
• Completes documentation appropriately and timely.
