Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) seeks an Epidemiologist 1 to support STI surveillance and data analysis initiatives across the state. The role emphasizes developing analyses, data matching, and maintaining SENDSS for efficient STD data retrieval.

Responsibilities include presenting findings to stakeholders, running SAS code, and collaborating with local health districts while leveraging Excel, SAS, R, Tableau and ArcGIS for reporting and visualization.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in any field with two years of epidemiologic work experience.
• Preferred MPH with epidemiology focus; SAS or R experience is expected.
• Strong communication and collaboration with health professionals and stakeholders.

Mansioni

• Support STI surveillance by designing analyses to monitor STD prevention, testing data, and data completeness.
• Present findings at stakeholder meetings and assist with data collection and matching (vital records, HIV data).
• Plan and maintain the SENDSS surveillance system for rapid retrieval and analysis of STD data.
• Fulfill data requests and run SAS code to generate datasets and reports.
• Develop expertise in data analysis and data visualization; provide tech assistance for health districts.
