The State of Tennessee seeks an Epidemiologist 2 to lead the STI surveillance program within CEDEP, overseeing automated surveillance tools and data quality across systems. You will supervise staff, collaborate with partners, and drive modernization to improve public health actions.

You will design workflows using SAS, R, and SQL, validate data, and prepare reports for CDC submissions while mentoring team members and ensuring timely data dissemination.

Qualificações

• Doctorate in epidemiology or related field is required.
• MD/DO/DVM/public health or related doctorate with epi experience may qualify.
• Master's in epi/public health/biostatistics with 4+ years epi experience may qualify.

Responsabilidades

• Lead maintenance and improvement of automated surveillance processes and informatics solutions.
• Design and maintain automated workflows for case identification, matching, deduplication and reporting.
• Oversee data quality within multiple surveillance systems and CDC compliance.
• Develop documentation and SOPs for modernization efforts.
• Produce routine and ad hoc STI surveillance reports for program operations and grant reporting.
• Coordinate data submission to CDC and respond to data quality feedback.
• Conduct advanced epidemiologic analyses to identify trends and disparities.
• Collaborate with internal/external partners to improve surveillance systems.
• Represent STI Surveillance in internal/external workgroups.
• Mentor staff in epidemiologic methods and data quality.
