Job summary

Department of State Health Services seeks an Epidemiologist III to design and implement statistical analyses for HIV/STD prevention, coordinating data collection and maintaining programmatic databases.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with major coursework in epidemiology, microbiology, infectious diseases, biostatistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience performing basic statistical analysis.
• Minimum 2 years of experience communicating data and data systems to general audiences.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements statistical analyses for epidemiologic and programmatic data focusing on HIV/STD prevention.
• Coordinates data collection, maintains programmatic databases, and provides data support to prevention contractors.
• Authors reports and program briefs and develops programmatic data dashboards for leadership.
• Develops training materials and guides internal staff and external partners on data-driven prevention activities.
