Position Summary
The Stewarding Supervisor assists with the management of the daily kitchen stewarding operations and associated staff.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote superior guest service.
- Maintain and perpetuate a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.
- Supervise utilities team members and assist with management of day-to-day steward operations.
- Coordinate with Facilities department for preventive maintenance of exhaust, drainage, burners, fryers, refrigerators, freezers, and other major equipment.
- Conduct supply inventories and report shortages.
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards.
- Investigate and follow up on employee accidents.
- Manage equipment, china, glass, and silver.
- Assist with ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, food handling, and sanitation standards.
- Inform and update Executive Steward of relevant information promptly.
- Participate in managing department's controllable expenses to meet or exceed budgeted goals.
- Ensure day-to-day operations meet quality, standards, and customer expectations.
- Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
- Ensure disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed per SOPs.
- Ensure staff receives proper training regarding sanitation, equipment handling, chemical usage, and safety procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED, or equivalent.
- At least two years’ experience in a similar role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to foster a supportive team environment.
- Commitment to client satisfaction and quality standards.
- Experience coaching, motivating, developing, and leading a team.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including late nights, weekends, early mornings, holidays, and blackout/high volume days.
- Physical ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Valid food workers card.
- Willingness to work in a smoking environment.
- Willingness to adhere to company health and safety measures.

Flexible schedule required, covering late nights, weekends, early mornings, holidays, and high-volume blackout days.
