Job summary

Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa in Bretton Woods, NH is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to oversee day-to-day stewarding for a busy resort kitchen and events program. You will supervise dishwashing, sanitation, and utility staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to standards.

The role requires at least two years of supervisory hotel experience, strong leadership, and excellent customer service. You must be able to stand for long periods and work flexible shifts, including holidays

Qualifications

• Two-year supervisory experience in a hotel is strongly preferred.
• Computer literacy is required.
• Physical strength and stamina are essential for a high-activity environment.
• At least one year of supervisory experience is required.
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stretch, reach and lead a team effectively.
• Flexibility to work holidays and weekends.
• Strong customer service orientation and skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day stewarding operations for the shift.
• Control and distribute operating equipment and maintain sanitation standards.
• Supervise all utility, pot washer and dishwasher tasks.
• Assign tasks and ensure accuracy, neatness and policy conformance.
• Read banquet menus and perform setup procedures as needed.
• Oversee personnel under supervision and proper cleaning of china, glassware.
• Reinforce operating procedures and minimize equipment breakage.
• Perform additional duties as required by management.

Overview

The Stewarding Supervisor role is to supervise the day-to-day operation of the department for a given shift. The Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for the control and distribution of operating equipment, maintenance of cleaning and sanitation standards, supervision of all utility, pot washer, dishwasher, and worker assignment tasks.

Responsibilities

• Determines work procedures, and expedites workflow
• Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
• Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates
• Resolves associate issues
• Be able to read banquet menus and perform set up procedures
• Responsible for all personnel under his/her supervisor
• Responsible for the proper cleaning, rack and distribution of all china, silver and glassware.
• Maintains required standards of sanitation and cleanliness.
• Reviews and reinforces operating procedures with his/her shift.
• Minimize breakage of circulating equipment.
• Perform any other duties as required by management

Qualifications

• Minimum of two-year Supervisory experience in a hotel strongly preferred.
• Computer literacy
• Physical strength and stamina are essential to this position due to the high activity level. Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must have one year supervisor experience
• Ability and willingness to stand for 8 hours at a time
• Ability and willingness to stretch and reach
• Ability to effectively lead a team
• Must be able to work flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends
• Strong customer service orientation and skills.
