Job summary

Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa in Bretton Woods, NH is seeking a Guest Room Attendant to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in guest rooms, refresh rooms for extending stays, and prepare rooms for new guests.

You will clean beds and baths, vacuum, stock supplies, report room status, and support safety and Omni Safe protocols. Prior housekeeping or related experience preferred; flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping experience or other relevant environmental services experience.
• Stand or walk for extended periods; frequent bending, reaching overhead and squatting.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to work in a fast-paced hotel environment with multiple priorities.
• English communication skills with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms including beds, bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Uphold Omni Safe and Clean processes.
• Restock and replace used items within guest rooms.
• Communicate clean status of each room upon completion.
• Remove room service trays and tables from guest rooms.
• Stock supply cart and keep it neat and organized.
• Check equipment before and after use to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain a professional, neat and organized appearance per Omni Mount Washington standards.
• Respond swiftly and effectively in emergencies or safety situations.
• Attend required department trainings and meetings.
• Perform any other duties required by management.

Overview:

The Guest Room Attendant position is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in each guest room. Room Attendants refresh rooms for guests who are continuing their stay, as well as, thoroughly clean rooms of guests who have checked out in preparation for the next guest checking in.

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms including: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting.

• Stock supply cart and ensure that it is neat and well organized at all times.
• Check all equipment prior to and after use to ensure that it is in good working order.
• Maintain a professional, neat and organized appearance according to Omni Mount Washington standards.
• Respond swiftly and effectively in any emergency or safety situations. Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury or accident.
• Attend all required department trainings and meetings.
• Perform any other duties required by management.

• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Prior housekeeping experience required or other relevant environmental services experience.
• Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead and squatting.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high-profile events, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.
• Must possess the ability to handle stressful and busy hotel operations. Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure at all times.
• Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled.
• Must have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must meet standards of appearance and maintain a high level of personal hygiene at all time.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
