Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts in Florida is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to oversee the daily stewarding operations for the assigned shift. You will supervise staff, assign duties, and ensure the proper cleaning, sanitation, and handling of china, silver, and glassware.

You will read banquet menus, set up procedures, reinforce operating standards, and manage personnel to maintain high service levels while complying with hotel policies. Flexibility for holidays and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two-year Supervisory experience in a hotel.
• Must have one year supervisor experience.
• Ability and willingness to stand for 8 hours at a time.
• Ability and willingness to push, pull, lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability and willingness to stretch and reach.
• Ability to effectively lead a team.
• Must be able to work flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
• Food Safety certification required.
• Strong customer service orientation and skills.
• Must possess a valid Florida or Georgia Driver License and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment specimen test.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day stewarding operations for a shift.

• Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency.
• Resolve associate issues.
• Read banquet menus and perform set up procedures.
• Responsible for all personnel under supervision.
• Responsible for proper cleaning, rack and distribution of china, glass and silverware.
• Maintain required sanitation and cleanliness standards.
• Review and reinforce operating procedures with shift.
• Minimize breakage of circulating equipment.
• Perform other duties as required by management.
