Gila River Resorts & Casinos in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Stewarding Manager responsible for leading the stewarding team, supervising back-of-house cleaning, sanitation, and inventory control in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

The role supports the Executive Sous Chef, manages recruitment, training, budgeting, and ensures health code compliance while maintaining service standards across kitchen and banquet operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in Food & Beverage management required.
• Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Gila River Environmental Health Food Handlers Card, BBP and other required trainings.
• Ability to perform the GILA WAY to greet, interact, listen and appreciate guests.
• Must possess excellent guest service skills and be a self-starter with the ability to follow-up and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate with staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests.
• Oversees daily operations in the stewarding department to ensure departmental goals are exceeded.
• Ensures high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety throughout all kitchen areas.
• Establishes and maintains a regular cleaning and maintenance schedule for all kitchen areas and equipment.
• Oversees hiring and recruitment initiatives for the department.
• Trains staff to increase safety, sanitation, and accident-prevention knowledge.
• Reviews monthly department P&L and budget; communicates with stewarding management to implement actions.
• Performs walk-through inspections of all F&B areas.
• Maintains knowledge of cleaning chemicals and MSDS procedures.
• Manages staffing guidelines to optimize efficiency and control labor costs.
• Communicates with vendors and Health Department; coordinates with outside services as needed.
• Mentors Pathways participants toward management roles.
