Hyatt Regency Houston in downtown Houston is seeking a Stewarding Lead to maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and stewarding areas while leading the stewarding team. You will ensure proper cleaning, sanitation, and safety standards, and collaborate with Culinary and Banquet teams for service readiness.

The role supports banquet operations and upholds Hyatt's culture of care. Strong leadership and hospitality experience are preferred, with a flexible schedule including mornings,

Qualifications

• Prior stewarding or hospitality experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication with guests and colleagues.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work flexible schedule including mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support stewarding colleagues to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout kitchen, dishwashing, storage, and food preparation areas.
• Oversee cleaning, sanitizing, and proper storage of dishes and equipment.
• Assign daily tasks and provide guidance to stewarding colleagues for efficiency and Hyatt standards.
• Coordinate with Culinary and Banquet teams to ensure supplies are ready for service and events.
• Monitor operations for sanitation, safety, and compliance.
• Assist with training on cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and safe practices.
• Monitor inventory of supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
• Ensure proper waste disposal and maintain clean work areas.
• Identify and report maintenance and safety concerns promptly.
• Support banquet setup/breakdown and post-event cleanup.
• Promote Hyatt's Culture of Care through teamwork and attention to detail.
