Job summary

BENCHMARK is looking for a Seasonal Steward at Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa, effective from May 2026 to January 2027. The Steward will support the restaurant and banquet teams by maintaining cleanliness, sanitizing kitchen and banquet equipment, and assisting with the Employee Dining Room operations.

This role ensures that all kitchen items are properly cleaned and stored, while monitoring cleanliness standards as per health regulations. The position provides competitive hourly pay of $17.00 and extensive employment benefits.

Job Summary

Seasonal Steward position at Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa, effective May2026 to Mid‑January2027. The Steward supports the restaurant and banquet teams by cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all kitchen and banquet equipment, dishware, and related areas. The Steward also supports the Employee Dining Room (EDR) line cook by ensuring proper supplies and removing dirty items for sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Wash all pots, pans, dishware, drinkware, silverware, trays, and all other kitchen and banquet related items and appliances.
• Assure that boxes and trash are removed at appropriate times from the kitchen and placed in the proper location for removal from property.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including storage areas and equipment.
• Monitor needs and cleanliness in the Employee Dining Room (EDR).
• Replenish dishware, drinkware, and utensils as required.
• Ensure glassware, dishware, silverware, pots, pans, etc. meet cleanliness and sanitizing standards.
• Organize and store all items in their appropriate location.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain dish machines.
• Report malfunctions to manager.
• Load and unload dishes and utensils to/from dish machine and organize them properly within the dish pit.
• Monitor cleaning and sanitizing standards per Health Department.
• Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as needed.
• Ensure all prep stations and equipment are cleaned and sanitized.
• Ensure that all handwashing stations within the kitchen are always stocked with soap and hand towels.
• Ensure that the trash compactor and disposal areas are always clean and free of collateral.
• Ensure that the compactor area is pressure washed at least once monthly when the compactor is picked up or as instructed.
• Maintain a neat, clean and well‑groomed appearance.
• Assist with inventory management and organizing of supplies as needed.

Compensation

$17.00–$17.00 per hour. Actual compensation packages may vary based on skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
