Job summary

BENCHMARK at Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is looking for a Seasonal Banquet Server for the upcoming season from June 2026 to January 2027. The role involves preparing banquet rooms, serving guests, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout events.

Ideal candidates will have 2-4 years of food service experience, preferably in a high-end venue. A passion for providing exceptional guest experiences and strong communication skills are essential.

Compensation starts at $16.90 per hour.

Seasonal Banquet Server

Seasonal Position (June 2026 – Mid‑January 2027) at Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms, including draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and table centerpieces.
• Serve and bus tables, including picking up food from the back hall, carrying trays to the function location, serving food, and clearing food from the tables.
• Break down banquet rooms: bussing tables, putting away dirty linens and centerpieces, vacuuming, cleaning back hall, and organizing storerooms.
• Set up AM or PM break stations (coffee, tea, snacks, beverages).
• Assist with event room setup according to meal period and table needs.
• Perform food & beverage preparation duties such as preparing condiments, brewing coffee and ensuring workstations are stocked.
• Serve food and beverages to guests.
• Remove dishes, glasses, silverware or other items from tables/countertops and transport them to the kitchen.
• Clean and sanitize tables, counters and seats after guests finish.
• Explain menu items, cooking methods and ingredients.
• Consider special requests and dietary issues.
• Provide general property information and a warm welcome/farewell to all guests.
• Interact professionally with staff, assisting other departments.
• Ensure final quality check on food and beverage items before serving guests.
• Monitor assigned tables for customer satisfaction and additional service.
• Address any guest issues promptly with a high level of concern.
• Assist other event and restaurant staff as needed.
• Maintain constant awareness of safety issues (e.g., broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, suspicious persons).
