Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a hospital dishwashing aide in Lafayette, Colorado. The role maintains sanitary, safe, and clean conditions in the Culinary Department to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards.

Shifts are PRN / on call / as needed, with hourly pay ranging from $19.29 to $24.38 based on experience. Candidates should have a Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification where required, and be able to operate dish machines and cleaning equipment.

  • Demonstrates ability to read color coded labels and chemicals as well as following written and verbal directions.
  • Demonstrate ability to operate housekeeping equipment and dish machine (preferred)

Physical Requirements

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs. Occasional interaction with customers that requires employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items. Remain standing for long periods of time to perform work. Tolerate extremes in temperature such as performing work around dish machines and tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals.
